Hampton River Raft Race

To register your team, email
The Race...
Your team meets on site (near the Pembroke Avenue bridge) in the morning to build its raft.
Then two members of the team float
the raft down the Hampton River (by human power only!) to Mill Point Park. There, the rest
of your team joins the racers to run the raft (again by human power) to the deck
at Marker 20 and the finish line!

Yeah, yeah, we know you gotta have rules...
- Crew of no more than 5 to arrive no later than 10 a.m.
- Rafts must be completed by 1:45 p.m. Start time: 2 p.m.
- Crew of 2 and no more than 2 for river rafting.
- Raft size must be under 18.
- Raft must be human propelled only.
- No pre-assembly.
- $100 maximum for materials. Bring receipts.
- Pre-approved household recyclables do not count
toward $100 max.
- No submarines or hovercrafts.
- Boaters must wear life vests.
- Original crew only must run boat to finish line.
- Participants must be 18 or older.
- There are a bunch more rules here.
